Community Commitments
Our mission as a school is to build students who are not only exceptional scholars, but also kind, empathetic human beings. We hold all our students to the following Community Commitments: Courage, Cultural Sensitivity, Friendship, Perseverance, Respect, Responsibility, and Self-Discipline.
Courage
I stand up for people who are being picked on and/or disrespected.
I make the best choices whether or not they are favored by my peers.
I take academic, personal and social risks that help me grow.
I take on the role of leader as needed.
I try new things with an open mind and empower those around me to do the same.
I stop confrontations and conflicts as soon as I can.
I hold my peers accountable for community norms and expectations.
Cultural Sensitivity
I actively learn about other cultures so as to become more understanding of other customs and beliefs.
I value race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and other forms of diversity at my school.
I hold my peers accountable for being respectful and creating an open and safe environment for people of all cultures.
I stand up against ignorance and intolerance.
I work to understand my own cultural identity.
I am an ally to my peers regardless of our differences.
